Prithviraj’s film”Aadujeevitham The Goat Life” achieved the 3rd highest-grossing opening day for a Malayalam film, trailing behind only Odiyan and King of Kotha.

The Malayalam film industry’s victorious march, which commenced in February, is on the brink of extending into April. Yesterday, Prithviraj’s film “Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life” achieved a bumper opening day, raking in nearly Rs. 9 crore at the Indian box office. This positions it as the third highest-grossing opening day for a Malayalam film, trailing only “Odiyan” and “King of Kotha.”

The first day earnings of Aadujeevitham in Kerala reached Rs. 5.85 crore. The film could have achieved higher numbers since it was shown in fewer theaters compared to other major releases, due to a relatively limited release. The makers opted to keep most screens for an extended run to capitalize on the upcoming Eid and Vishu holidays, which are two weeks away. Unlike most other films, Aadujeevitham did not have early morning shows. Its occupancy rates surpassed those of films like King of Kotha and Malaikottai Vaaliban, which had similar openings recently. The film had a wide release outside Kerala and set record first-day numbers for a Malayalam film in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

One major advantage for the film is its positive initial reception, a factor that was lacking in many previous major releases. With the Easter holiday this weekend followed by the Eid and Vishu holidays in two weeks, there is a long period of potential high turnout. All of this indicates a promising outlook for the film to achieve significant lifetime earnings.

“Aadujeevitham The Goat Life”garnered the following territorial earnings on its opening day at the Indian box office:

  • Kerala: Rs. 5.85 crore
  • Karnataka: Rs. 1.20 crore
  • Tamil Nadu: Rs. 1 crore
  • Rest of India: Rs. 0.80 crore

The film’s total earnings amounted to Rs. 8.85 crore.
